Please tell me about the different face molds...

Who has the same face molds? I am looking for my first doll and was almost set on Felicity - more for her time period, clothes and personality than anything else.

I have seen Josephina, #28 and Elizabeth - all who are absolutely stunning to me.

I have also seen Molly and Samantha, who do nothing for me. I thought it was the hair with bangs, but maybe it's the face mold.

Now, I'm scared to consider Felicity - is her face narrow or wider than Josephina etc.?

Sounds like you would like the face mold of Josefina, Elizabeth, Nellie, Marisol and #28.

That chart from Curt's site is good but know that you are looking at the following facemolds:

-AA Morsels: Addy, #26, #11, #1, and #18 have the same facemold

-Kaya is a Historical and shares her facemold with no-one

-Jess is the 2006 LE doll and shares her facemold with no-one

-#4 is the AGT Asian morsel and shares her facemold with no-one

-Marisol, #28, Josefina(H), Nellie (H), and Elizabeth(H) all share the same facemold

-The rest of the dollies all have the Caucasion facemold with differing eye color, hairstyles/lengths, skin tones, skin variations(i.e. freckles)

I think all of the face molds are beautiful. I know how you feel about the bangs. They bothered me for a long time- until I got AGOT #7, She is sooo adorable. After that, I liked everyone's bangs a lot more.

I took a few photos for you. Elizabeth has the same mold as Josefina, and Felicity hs the classic mold. Here are some side by side photos, maybe they will help?

It sounds like you prefer the chubbier cheecks with a bit of chin. That's my favorite as well.

I highly recommend #28 or Elizabeth. I have Marisol so I doubt that I will ever bring #28 home, but Elizabeth is just stunning to me. [img]smile.gif[/img] I actually contemplated getting another Elizabeth just to play with, but that would be wrong... wouldn't it? [img]smile.gif[/img] All of my girls are just display girls at the moment.

Hi Lisa,

The #28, Nellie, Elizabeth face mold is definitely my favorite. I have no idea why, but maybe the nose is just cuter or something. Not to say that our Kit, Holly and Bridget aren't wonderful, but Marisol and Elizabeth are just such beautiful dolls.

American Mommy, your comparison photos of Elizabeth, Felicity and Josefina are terrific! Thank you for posting them, because I've always wanted to see Elizabeth and Josefina side by side for a comparison.

I like the Josefina face mold, but the originally face mold is absolutley my favorite! It's the cutest one, IMO!

I'm about to run to my friend's house right now - she has Nellie, Marisol, Samantha and Molly. I'll compare them in person!

A big difference I see just in pictures is the eyes. The new molds also have different lips. I tried to show my mom how different the new ones look compared to the old ones, but she didn't seem to see it.
